19 Oct 2015 San Jose - Super Micro Computer has launched its new X11 generation UP systems and solutions raising the bar on performance and efficiency for their single processor platforms, delivering the industry's broadest range of workstations, long-life embedded solutions and motherboard platforms supporting the new Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 v5 family, formerly code-named Skylake-S.

New solutions support DDR4 memory, USB 3.1, M.2, Dual 10GBase-T and Quad Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, IPMI 2.0, up to 7x PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots with Supermicro WIO (Wide I/O) flexible expansion slot capability, SATA DOM (Disk on Module) support, 7-year long-life for embedded applications, short-depth and ultra-short depth appliance optimized chassis, high-efficiency power supplies with redundancy and BBP (Battery Backup Power) options. Supermicro's new X11 UP solutions target for a wide range of applications including embedded server and security appliances, Cloud computing, web hosting, and network appliances.
