Two EU-Brazil Co-ordinated Calls have been launched in 2011 and 2013, with significant interest on both sides of the Atlantic. Results from Call 1 projects have been showcased in a variety of events, and a number of success stories have been identified. Call 2 projects have recently started after a very competitive call, and Call 3 is now open - Work Programme 2015 of Horizon 2020, with a deadline of 21 April 2015.
Building upon this success, and looking towards future topics of co-operation, a Workshop was held in Brasília last 28 July in the context of CSBC 2014 on Brazil-EU Co-operation in the area of ICT. At the event, a first set of potential topics of co-operation was identified, but further discussion is needed before establishing priorities. With that objective, the European Commission has launched this Open Consultation Survey - with the aim of identifying strategic areas for joint R&D&I in the next Work Programme 2016-'17 of Horizon 2020.
The objective of the survey is to identify strategic areas for joint EU-Brazil R&D&I in the next Work Programme 2016-'17 of Horizon 2020.
All citizens and organisations are welcome to contribute to this survey. Contributions are particularly sought from researchers and research institutions, universities, future internet experts, ICT specialists, but also SMEs, Internet start-ups and industry stakeholders.
The survey is only available in English. A pdf version is available for offline reading. All the compulsory questions are necessary to be able to "submit" the questionnaire.
The results of the survey will be presented at the EU-BR Consultation Workshop on 10 November 2014 in Brussels where the respondents of the survey will also have the chance to present their views and contributions.
