Oracle extends the Oracle Exastack Programme with availability of Oracle Exastack Optimized, Oracle Exadata Ready and Oracle Exalogic Ready

3 Oct 2011 San Francisco - Oracle has expanded its Oracle Exastack Programme with the availability of Oracle Exastack Optimized, enabling Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and other qualifying members of Oracle Partner Network (OPN) to optimize their applications to run faster and more reliably on Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud.

Partners achieving an Oracle Exadata Optimized or Oracle Exalogic Optimized status can also leverage specific branding and promotional benefits including the use of a product specific Oracle Optimized logo. OPN members participating in the programme will also be able to leverage their Oracle Exastack Optimized applications toward advancement to Platinum or Diamond level in the OPN Specialized programme.

Oracle Exastack Ready expands to now include an Oracle Exadata Ready and Oracle Exalogic Ready status, allowing customers to easily identify the OPN member applications that readily support Oracle Exadata Database Machine or Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud.

Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud are pre-integrated hardware and software engineered systems that deliver extreme performance.

Oracle is also announcing the availability of the Oracle Exastack Remote Labs providing qualifying OPN members with access to Oracle technical resources and remote lab environments for purposes of testing and verifying their applications on the latest major releases of Oracle Solaris, Oracle Linux or Oracle VM.

Oracle Exastack Ready has also added an Oracle VM Ready status, differentiating for customers the OPN member applications that support the latest major release of Oracle VM. In addition to the Oracle VM remote lab, partners may also access the Oracle VM ISV Developer Guided Learning Path - enabling them to utilize Oracle enablement and testing resources to fully leverage the benefits of the newly released Oracle VM 3.0 platform.

The Oracle Exastack Programme helps enable ISVs and other OPN members to rapidly build and deliver faster, more reliable applications.

Since the Oracle Exastack Programme was launched just over three months ago, partners have achieved over 150 Oracle Exastack Ready milestones for Oracle Solaris, Oracle Linux, Oracle Database or Oracle WebLogic Server. This rapid adoption of the programme is a testament to the importance and value both partners and Oracle place on these kinds of enablement resources.

These partners include ADP, Beijing Teamsun, cVydia, Essatto, F5, GoldenSource, INFOPRO, IBIS, Informatica, I-ON, Lingotek, Neusoft, PhinCon, Smart Developer, Solix, Teleran and Triple Point, among others.

By deploying their applications on Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, ISVs can reduce the cost, time and support complexities typically associated with building and maintaining a disparate application infrastructure - enabling them to focus more on their core competencies, accelerating innovation and delivering superior value to customers.

"For today's customers, continuous application improvement and performance from their preferred vendors is business critical", stated Judson Althoff, Oracle Senior Vice President, Worldwide Alliances & Channels and Embedded Sales. "With the Oracle Exastack Programme, Oracle is helping partners tune, test and optimize their applications to deliver optimal performance and reliability to their customers, accelerating innovation and delivering superior value to customers."

"Oracle delivers technology that drives productivity and performance to their clients", stated Brian Rubel, ADP Vice President of Alliances. "ADP is proud to be an Oracle partner leveraging these same technologies in our continuing focus to deliver high-performance technology solutions to our mutual clients."

"Customers around the globe continue to turn to Informatica for solutions to tackle their most challenging data integration and big data challenges", stated Sachin Chawla, senior vice president, Data Integration, Informatica. "By achieving Oracle Exadata Ready status, organisations can confidently use Informatica products together with Oracle Exadata Database Machine offerings in a secure, highly-available enterprise offering."

"Our customers must be confident they’re partnering with a company they can trust to deliver the best performance and reliability", stated Doug Daugherty, Chief Technology Officer, Triple Point. "Achieving Oracle Exadata Ready status further signifies Triple Point’s commitment to provide customers with a secure, highly-available enterprise offering."
