e-IRG Workshop to address European Open Science Cloud governance

11 Sep 2017 Tallinn - The next e-IRG Workshop will take place in Tallinn, Estonia, 3-4 October 2017. The main objective of the e-IRG workshop is the contribution towards some main directions in the development of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Key areas that will be explored include governance, funding, services and data-related aspects. Sustainability will be a cross-cutting theme. Special attention is given on the national perspectives on EOSC development.

The e-IRG workshop is organised in the framework of the Estonian EU Presidency of the council of the European Union. Connected to this event, the EOSCpilot Governance Development Forum meeting will take place from 2 to 3 October 2017.

The main theme of the workshop is related to the governance aspects of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) and will provide European Union as well as national perspectives. Another session will deal with EOSC Services for users and finally the organizers plan to have a session on Data Culture and FAIR data.
