PRACE pre-commercial procurement of whole system design for energy efficient HPC

18 Sep 2013 Brussels - Through the Third PRACE Implementation Phase Project (PRACE-3IP), PRACE is considering undertaking a joint Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) procedure addressing the major issue of the energy efficiency of large scale supercomputers.

This PCP aims to foster innovation for economic growth to ensure sustainable high quality public services in Europe and should lead to energy efficient HPC systems suitable for operation within the PRACE infrastructure.

The PCP Call for Tender is planned to be published on Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) in Autumn 2013. PRACE will announce the actual date of the launch on the PRACE website.
