Bull and Sinequa announce unmatched performance on bullion servers, enabling new real time Big Data experience

23 Sep 2013 Paris - Bull and Sinequa have together achieved unmatched performance on bullion with a Real-time Search and Big Data Analytics, a solution designed by Sinequa, one of the experts in Search and Unified Information Access.

With bullion technology for critical and data intensive applications and Sinequa Real-Time Search and Big Data Analytics, the bullion-Sinequa platform has reached a capacity of 100 billion records and performed 10 million indexed records per second, while at least 40 commodity servers would be required to achieve comparable capacity. This quantum leap in performance on a single server opens a whole new range of end-user experience in search-based real-time data analytics.

The platform scale-up ability allows for drastically improved OPEX and CAPEX, as just one server is required.

F1000 and government organisations, and all companies confronted with large volumes of continuously changing heterogeneous data can now implement enterprise-wide projects offering real-time response to their users.

The bullion-Sinequa platform gives their full dimension to Unified Information Access scenarios, such as providing operational teams with a 360º view of a customer, gathering up business decision relevant information from many different sources. With Sinequa & bullion, even the largest enterprises can now deploy a company-wide, global 360º view strategy, and provide every employee with real-time access to everything they need to know about any business a customer or prospect has with the company. Another typical scenario involves R&D managers in Technology companies, or Consulting & Services operational managers, who can now instantly find the right experts or the right team of complementary experts for customer projects, directly impacting the bottom line.

"Bull & Sinequa have built a true partnership of reference to address global markets. We are pleased to bring today our joint offering to our respective customers, with high performance and deep analysis of Big Data, creating true value for enterprises", stated Alexandre Bilger, CEO, Sinequa.

"Bull & Sinequa provide our customers with a unique instrument for operational excellence and innovation. The perfect match between the Sinequa Real-time Search and Big Data Analytics Platform and bullion architecture gives rise to a powerful enabler for competitive advantage", stated Pierre Barnabe, Chief Operating Officer, Bull.

Bull and Sinequa will present their solution at the Sinequa Search Solutions 2013, the unmissable Event for Real-Time Big Data Search and Analytics held for its European Clients, on October 8th 2013 at the Etoile Saint Honore Conference Center in Paris.

The performance tests were achieved with Sinequa ES V8.5 on one single bullion server of 160 cores delivered by 16 Intel Xeon processors and 2TB of RAM connected to a 10TB EMC VMAX storage. bullion can scale up to 4TB of memory, which means even greater potential performance and larger workloads.
