PRACE Autumn School 2019 to address Big Data and HPC

23 Aug 2019 Ljubljana - PRACE will host its Autumn School 2019 on Big Data and HPC from 17 to 20 September 2019 at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Slovenia.

In today's competitive product development, high performance computing (HPC) delivers outstanding value and investment return. Parallel computing increases understanding, productivity and accuracy of the simulation - a faster turnaround, reduced costs, systematic design variations and more complex models.

In this training course PRACE will focus on classical Big Data topics - using Hadoop and Rhadoop for Big Data management and analysis - and on very recent container technologies. This will be a four-day course.

The PRACE Autumn School 2019 targets at 20-30 experienced industrial users and some academics. Case studies and hands-on tutorials will be carried on the ULFME cluster. The tutorials will be held in sessions, depending on the applicants' interest indicated in the registration questionnaire.

Registration is now open at the PRACE website.
