Comstor to simply the IP management of clusters

6 Jul 2015 Riga - At the Baltic HPC and Cloud Computing Conference, held June 4, 2015 in Riga, LatviaPrimeur Magazinehad the opportunity to interview Joakim Arbhede, Business Development Manager at Comstor, a company that distributes Cisco parts all over the world and helps partners and universities with setting up their configuration and install Cisco equipment in their building in order to provide them with the right solutions for the right environment.

In the former technology setting, you needed to configure each server to the other one in a rack in a way that you had several configuration points. In the Cisco solution however, you have one configuration point on top with all the servers connected to this single configuration point. You can add 160 servers to this policy-based configuration. This means that you add a policy and you integrate the policy into the services. When you use the policy, you just change the policy to another service so you can get the policy out and put it into another service. In this way, you get a much more flexible configuration.

More information is available at the Comstor website.
