PRACE Managing Director, Serge Bogaerts and CHPC Director, Dr. Happy Sithole are delighted to announce the signing of the MoU between the CHPC, South Africa and PRACE, Europe.
The purpose of the MoU is to implement a fruitful exchange of information in the fields of Computational Science and Engineering. In addition, the aim is to identify collaboration and partnership opportunities as a strategic objective. To achieve these objectives, a set of concrete tasks will be identified and then supervised by coordinators designated by both the CHPC represented by Dr. Werner Janse van Rensburg and PRACE represented by Serge Bogaerts. The follow-up of the implementation of this MoU will also be the subject of technical meetings between the parties.

It will also positively build the networking opportunities between the CHPC and PRACE. The MoU between the CHPC and PRACE will strengthen and deepen their co-operation at the international level and reinforce the HPC ecosystem worldwide.
