Spring 2018 edition of the e-IRG Magazine available


7 May 2018 - The e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG) has published a new edition of the e-IRG Magazine, formerly known as e-IRG Newsletter. This Spring edition of the new e-IRG Magazine is now available for download.

Highlights include summaries of the e-IRG Delegates Meetings in Tallinn and Brussels and the e-IRG Workshop in Tallinn; a report from the first European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Stakeholder Forum; the adoption by the European Commission of the EOSC implementation roadmap; an overview of the mutual benefits between the work of the Research Data Alliance, the UK Digital Curation Centre and the US National Library of Medicine; interviews with Ilja Livenson from the Estonian Scientific Computing Infrastructure (ETAIS) and George Papastefanatos from the ATHENA Research Centre on the provision of e-Infrastructure services; with Erik Schultes from the GO FAIR International Support and Coordination Office on the GO FAIR initiative; with Philippe Notton from Atos about the European Processor Initiative; with Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, about the EuroHPC exascale initiative; with Thomas Schulthess, Director of the Swiss Supercomputing Centre, on the European exascale effort; and many more.
