Bright Computing names Bill Griffin as Chief Financial Officer

5 May 2016 San Jose - Bright Computing, an independent provider of management software for high performance computing (HPC) clusters, Big Data clusters, and OpenStack Clouds, has appointed Bill Griffin as its Chief Financial Officer. The appointment of a seasoned Silicon Valley financial leader with more than 25 years of experience in financial, operational and executive management positions will help drive the company to its next phase of growth, maturity, and success.

Mr. Griffin most recently served as CFO of StrongView Systems Inc., a top-ranked independent provider of enterprise marketing software. During his nine-year tenure at StrongView, culminating in the company's successful acquisition by HGGC and subsequent merger with Selligent, Mr. Griffin focused operationally on revenue and expense management. He also oversaw StrongView's compliance with legal and licensing, consumer marketing, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting requirements.

Prior to StrongView, Mr. Griffin held executive-level financial roles at InsWeb Corporation, ZipSend Inc., and Inference Corp. His software industry experience ranges from orchestrating financial restructurings to executing private placements and initial public offerings. He began his career as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young, where he developed the firm's Los Angeles-area software industry practice.

Mr. Griffin stated: "I am excited about joining the Bright Computing team and using my skills and experience in the software arena to build a world-class corporate finance and accounting team that will help guide the company as it expands to its next stage of growth and development."

According to Bright CEO Bill Wagner: "Bill's hands-on approach, industry expertise, and financial planning talents will be a huge benefit to Bright. His proven problem-solving and analytical skills, along with his organisational knowledge and drive to build world-class teams in software and internet businesses, will help take Bright Computing forward."
