Green Grid to bring EMEA focus to energy debate at Datacentres 2012

14 May 2012 Nice - The global IT industry's leading voice for advancing resource efficiency in the data centre and business computing ecosystems, The Green Grid, will discuss EMEA data centre challenges in the Energy Theatre at Europe's premier Datacentres 2012 event. Taking place at the Acropolis Convention Centre in Nice, France 23-24 May, the event brings together more than 700 enterprise users, specifiers and providers to discuss key themes including energy efficiency, Cloud evolution, DCIM, convergence, finance and investment, market outlook and opportunities among other topics in the data centre and Cloud sector.

In a unique panel discussion, John Tuccillo, Chairman of the Board and President, The Green Grid and Jack Pouchet, Director of Energy Initiatives, Emerson Network Power and Board Director, The Green Grid will jointly facilitate the discussion which will include Harkeeret Singh, EMEA Chair, The Green Grid and Global Head of Energy & Sustainable Technology, Thomson Reuters, Andre Rouyer, Industry and Government Alliances, Schneider Electric, EMEA Liaison Work Group Chair, The Green Grid, Neil Gazeley, EMEA Marketing Group Chairman, The Green Grid & GE, and Lex Coors, Vice President Group Data Centre Technology & Engineering, Interxion.

The discussion will include a review of The Green Grid Data Centre Maturity Model tool, training, an EMEA policy paper and present results of its data centre life cycle analysis paper. To further advance its mission, The Green Grid recently announced new membership opportunities for individuals to participate in and contribute to The Green Grid, and it will highlight how they can become involved in its activities.
