Voxel enhances its Cloud hosting services by offering free SaaS application performance management from New Relic

26 Apr 2011 San Francisco - New Relic Inc., a software-as-a-service provider of application performance management (APM) solutions, and Voxel, a provider of Cloud Hosting and Managed Servers, have made available free Bronze-level subscriptions of New Relic's APM tool for organisations deploying applications on Voxel's robust hosting platform. Whether deploying apps in public, private, virtual, physical or hybrid computing environments, Voxel customers can use New Relic to monitor app performance 24x7, proactively troubleshoot potential performance issues, and better ensure superior on-line service delivery.

Voxel, a provider of hosting services, is making Bronze-level subscription of New Relic's SaaS application performance management tool available to its customers free of charge. Voxel offers cutting-edge hosting technology, including the VoxCAST Global CDN, instantly available physical and virtual servers around the world, a full management API across its services and 10+ years of expertise in managing complex Internet Infrastructure.

Voxel customers can use New Relic to monitor live production web applications 24x7 and pro-actively troubleshoot potential performance issues in conjunction with the infrastructure monitoring tools provided with Voxel's managed services. New Relic's deep, application-level visibility in both physical and virtual application environments enables Voxel customers to rapidly identify performance bottlenecks at the component level. Additionally, customers of Voxel's ProManaged Hosting can take advantage of New Relic to work even more collaboratively with Voxel engineers to optimize production lava applications or those that are in a dev/test process.

Voxel customers can get started with New Relic right away by visiting www.voxel.net/newrelic and selecting the "sign up" button. The entire process from registration to implementation takes about 2 minutes. Additionally, Voxel customers who sign up will automatically receive 30 free days of New Relic's premium Gold level subscription for a limited time.

Voxel and New Relic are currently working on the next phase of the partnership to be announced later this year, which will include one-click integration with Voxel's management console and automatic deployments of New Relic for ProManaged hosting customers.

"Voxel's mission since our founding in 1999 has been to make deploying and maintaining successful Internet applications as simple and reliable as possible", stated Zachary Smith, Chief Operations Officer at Voxel. "New Relic shares that philosophy and their application management tool is a perfect fit for our customers. It provides immediate, out of the box visibility into application health that gives our customers and partners the capabilities they need to pinpoint potential performance issues and ensure a superior experience for their end users."

"Having been in the hosting business for more than ten years servicing some of the web's largest on-line properties, Voxel understands the importance of providing customers with the tools and expertise they need for the success of their unique application deployments", stated Bill Lapcevic, New Relic's Vice President of Business Development. "We are pleased to be working with them to provide customers with the deep application insight that can help them meet their business and application performance goals."
