Participants will compete for access to data storage, computing facilities, and visualisation infrastructure provided by SURFsara, for advanced network connections provided by SURFnet, and for support in the mapping of research solutions onto these e-infrastructure services by the Netherlands eScience Center (NLeSC). The winners will also receive a cash prize of 20,000 euro.
The competition is made possible by SURF, SURFnet, SURFsara, NLeSC and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). This unique partnership allows researchers to benefit from the seamlessly integrated e-infrastructure services mentioned above.
An information event will be held at SURFnet in Utrecht on the 27th of March. Attendees will receive all information about the competition and examples will be given how the e-infrastructure services and support can be applied. As an inspiration to participants, two former winners of the contest will give a presentation about their research and results.
