Call for Participation: Data-Visualization and Data-Exploration Symposium & Opening Collaboratorium

9 Mar 2012 Amsterdam - On March 30, 2012, SARA and the Netherlands eScience Center (NLeSC) organize a symposium on data visualization, data exploration and collaboration. During this symposium the opening of the Collaboratorium, a new facility that is fully tailored to support co-operation, will take place.

The Collaboratorium offers researchers an excellent facility for multi-user presentations and (remote) communication with colleagues. It has strong possibilities for visual interpretation and exploration of large data sets, (Big) Data.

The facility stimulates co-operation and communication and is aimed at easy-accessible use, as well as the use of highly advanced applications. Besides a high-resolution (17 Mpixel) Multi-touch screen and facilities for video conferencing the Collaboratorium is also equipped with 3D stereo projection. It offers excellent opportunities for collaboration, joint ventures and technology transfer between science, government and industry.

The Symposium will be held in Auditorium C0.110, ground floor UvA-FNWI building, Science Park 904, 1098 XH Amsterdam and will start at 12h45 with lunch as from 12h00.

The program is available at http://www.sara.nl/form/visualization-symposium-30-March-2012 .

As from 16h00, after the plenary programme, you can get an impression of the groundbreaking possibilities of the Collaboratorium during the informal reception at Science Park 140 (ICT Synergy Hub) at Science Park Amsterdam.

If you want to attend the event, you can register at http://www.sara.nl/form/visualization-symposium-30-March-2012 .
