BOINC to welcome Citizen Science Grid and Gerasim@Home and migrating to GitHub

5 Feb 2015 Berkeley - BOINC is migrating project management functions, including bug database, project documentation, and source code, to GitHub. Trac will be switched to read-only mode. BOINC also has welcomed two new projects, namely the Citizen Science Grid and Gerasim@Home.

The Citizen Science Grid is based at the University of North Dakota. It subsumes the DNA@Home and SubsetSum@Home projects, and includes scientific crowd computing as well - volunteer brainpower as well as computing power.

The Gerasim@Home project, from Southwest State University, Russia, studies computer engineering. Its current goal consists of testing and comparison of heuristic methods for CAD systems for designing logic control systems.

More technical information on the migration to GitHub is available at http://github.com/BOINC/boinc .
