3DPPM, MyLife Technologies, SolarSwing Energy, LUMICKS, ARTPred, Nerdalize, Oncodrone and Madam Therapeutics received a quarter million. Another 31 companies received a smaller amount of 40.000 euro.
"The start-ups that receive this grant have proven the ability to transfer valuable academic research into economic and social value", stated Secretary of State Sander Dekker.
Proposals for the grants were judged by research organisations STW, ZonMw and NOW, who specifically paid attention to scientific innovation and commercial perspectives of the involved start-ups as well as the teams and links to the universities.
Nerdalize heats buildings with computer power. By using the same energy twice, Nerdalize energizes houses for free whilst selling the generated computing power to clients. Hence there is a reduced need to build more data centres with advanced cooling.
