Yannick Legré is the new director of EGI.eu

14 Feb 2014 Brussels - Since early February 2014, Yannick Legré has been appointed as the new Director of the European Grid Infrastructure (EGI.eu). In his new position, he was present at the H2020 Information Days on Research Infrastructures and Networking on 13-14 February 2014 in Brussels. In the attached video interview he talks about his plans to support both the EGI user communities with customized services as well as the National Grid Infrastructures that are an important partner to stream their services to the users.

The main challenges for EGI are at the level of policy and co-operation, according to Yannick Legré, more than in the technological field. It takes trust to share information and make it accessible, and to work together. Yannick Legré saw his presence in Brussels as an opportunity to present himself as the new Director of EGI and to connect with potential partners to realize his plans.
