Digital Sports Group to commission supercomputer for football.co.uk

4 Feb 2012 Chelmsford - Digital Sports Group (DSG) have announced the imminent move to a supercomputer fueled Cloud for their football.co.uk football news website.

Simon Boynton, Managing director of Digital Sports Group, explained the move: "This move has been long-planned and is part of our drive to enhance the experience of our users and the quality of our data. We have already seen a 94% speed improvement on our existing infrastructure and we expect further exciting improvements over the coming months."

Cloud computing has been one of the revolutionary technological leaps over the past few years transforming all aspects of computing and transforming the solid server farm into something virtual, shared and flexible. "I believe this significant investment underlines our ceaseless commitment to our users' needs and ambition in the digital sports market. The solution we went for had to be the best available and we have no doubt it was the right one."
