Setting up light paths using the SURFnet Network Dashboard

26 Jan 2017 Utrecht - The beta version of the second release of the SURFnet Network Dashboard is being tested by a number of institutions. Users in 'infrastructure manager' roles are assessing the latest functionality: setting up light paths between Multi Service Ports (MSPs). After a test period, this functionality will be available to all institutions with an MSP.

The second release of the SURFnet Network Dashboard will allow anyone with an 'infrastructure manager' role to set up light paths on their own MSP to another MSP via SURFnet Authorisation Management. This new functionality is currently being tested by a number of institutions in a beta version. Feedback that is collected from participating institutions during the test period will be incorporated into the second release of the SURFnet Network Dashboard.

The beta version of the second release is currently being tested by a number of institutions. Additionally, all users with an 'infrastructure manager' or 'infrastructure administrator' role have access to the first release of the SURFnet Network Dashboard. This provides an overview of the network services purchased, and a port overview of SURFinternet and SURFlichtpaden. It shows which ports are being used and where bandwidth is still available. The SURFnet Network Dashboard also displays traffic graphics showing the usage of all network services.

More information is available at the SURFnet Network Dashboard webpage.
