China Intelligence signs contracts with the State Grid Corporation of China

5 Jan 2012 Jinan - China Intelligence Information Systems Inc., who offers virtualization technology application and Cloud computing related consulting service, products, solutions and implementation service in the People's Republic of China, has signed contracts with a total value at approximately $1 million with State Grid Corporation of China and its subsidiaries.

State Grid, ranking number seven in 2011 on the Fortune Global 500, is the largest electric power transmission and distribution company in the world. With five subsidiaries in Northern China, Northeastern China, Eastern China, Middle China and Northwestern China, its operations cover 26 provinces and account for over 88% of the electricity usage in China.

After two years of research and development, China Intelligence has designed a comprehensive and integrated data centre virtualization, disaster tolerance and back-up solution for the State Grid, to satisfy their current IT requirements and future Cloud computing demands. After installation, the State Grid will increase the utilization and flexibility of its hardware, lower operating and maintenance costs, and simplify its back-up process. More importantly, this solution will expand the infrastructure bandwidth of its existing IT infrastructure allowing the system to become compatible for future Cloud computing solution implementation.

Mr. Li Kunwu, President and CEO of China Intelligence, stated: "The State Grid is an established global corporation who through our ongoing business relationship has provided many opportunities for China Intelligence. During the past two years, we have utilized a great deal of resources on this project and won the contracts over other well-known companies. This accomplishment displays the professionalism and competence of our team in providing the State Grid with the best solution possible."

Mr. Li continued: "To better service the State Grid projects, we have established virtualization technical service centres in Shanghai, Xi'an, Chengdu and Shenyang in 2011 in order to provide more direct customer technical support for clients such as the State Grid. The establishment of the centres will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our services without any geographical limitation and will play an important role in our expansion throughout China."
