Allinea webinar targets I/O optimization


8 Dec 2016 San Jose - Allinea Software, a provider of tools for developing and optimizing high performance applications, will hold a free webinar on January, 5, 2017, which deals with overcoming common hurdles and realizing the potential for performance improvement presented by optimizing I/O. The webinar is part of a Software Performance Series that will focus on the full spectrum of checks and monitors required to fully optimize high performance software, covering workload, memory, communication, cores and vectorization throughout the entire series.

The first 45 minute session will focus on an analysis of I/O behaviour using the Allinea Performance Reports tool which simply and quickly presents valuable pointers for resolving software bottlenecks. The session draws upon the effective use of Allinea Forge for profiling and diagnosing performance issues.

Webinar presenter, Dr. Oliver Perks, is an Application Specialist at Allinea and brings extensive experience in computational science related roles across both research and production environments.

Dr. Perks commented: "Targeting I/O inefficiencies is one of the most powerful ways to achieve faster performance from applications, speeding up the rate of computational research.
