T-Platforms to participate in supercomputer industry's premier European event, ISC11

14 Jun 2011 Moscow - T-Platforms, an international developer of supercomputers and a supplier of a full range of solutions and services for high-performance computing, is participating in the International Supercomputing Conference - ISC'11, one of the world's most prestigious conferences focused on high performance computing. The ISC'11 conference and exhibition will be held from June 20th to the 23rd at the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH) in Hamburg, Germany. ISC11 will attract more than 2,000 experts in the sphere of supercomputer technologies and research for its 26th annual gathering. The conference exhibition will include computer hardware and software companies along with research organisations presenting the latest developments and research accomplishments in scientific and technical computing.

T-Platforms will demonstrate its T-Blade 2 family of the latest-generation systems boasting the highest performance and computing density in the industry. The T-Blade 2 system was selected as the primary building block for "Lomonosov", the most powerful supercomputer in Eastern Europe installed at Moscow State University, and named after the famous Russian scientist and mathematician, Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov.

Additionally, T-Platforms will feature the T-Blade 1.1 medium-performance system, a platform that is in operation at the computer centres of many Russian enterprises. Two new company products will also be unveiled at the exhibition: the T-Edge Mini, which is a high-performance workstation for engineering calculations, as well as a new generation of entry level systems designated "V-class", developed not only as entry level supercomputers but also optimized to create highly efficient Cloud computing platforms.

Along with the latest hardware developments, T-Platforms will discuss Clustrx software, an HPC software environment that allows customers to manage the entire supercomputer cluster, choosing the optimal working parameters for different assignments.

T-Platforms' specialists will also be discussing the company's key partners' solutions including data storage systems developed by Panasas and specifically designed for high-performance computer environments, and switching solutions by Mellanox Technologies and Force 10.

"ISC is an ideal opportunity to demonstrate our developments in the area of high-performance computing to the global community, and to share the successful application of our systems and technology by the leading Russian universities and high-tech enterprises", stated Vsevolod Opanasenko, the founder and General Director of T-Platforms. "T-Platforms is already working closely with many of the ISC participants and we have active engagements and negotiations ongoing with a number of the world's leading companies who will be at ISC11. This is an important and timely gathering, bringing the global HPC community together with key representatives of important European initiatives such as EOFS, PRACE, STRATOS, EESI and others. We’re proud to be participating at ISC11 as we strive for a closer integration of Russia within the European and global supercomputing communities."

T-Platforms products being discussed at ISC11 are the T-Blade 2; T-Blade1.1; T-Edge Mini; T-Platforms “V-Class"; and Clustrx software.
