With Aurora Au-5600, Eurotech updates its groundbreaking architecture with the latest 6-core Intel CPU, the Intel Xeon processor 5600 series. By using the new processor, Aurora Au-5600 allows packing an unprecedented number of cores: one single Aurora rack contains up to 3.072 cores and delivers up to 41TFlops.
This massive computational capacity is compatible with the existing X86 software applications and development tools; in fact, Aurora Au-5600 is one of the first Intel Xeon processor 5600 series based systems that is Intel Cluster Ready certified.

Aurora features a number of high end technologies, such as 100Gb/s bandwidth per node, with a 60Gb/s 3D torus and a 40Gb/s Infiniband interface; multilevel synchronization networks for highly efficient scalability, and an on board, programmable accelerator can be used to implement highly optimized algorithms.
With its exclusive liquid cooling system, Aurora has one of the best Power Usage Efficiency values and is one of the most reliable HPC platforms: by using liquid cooling it's possible to control the temperature of each component with a precision and efficiency that air cooling simply cannot match; moreover, the total absence of fans and moving parts completely eliminates one of the most significant sources of downtime.
