Donate your computer's time to Folding@Home to study COVID-19 virus

18 Mar 2020 Stanford - Greg Bowman explains on the Folding@Home blog how computer time donated by hundreds of thousands of people are put to work using the power of crowd computing to help unraveling the COVID-19 virus. Your computer at home can participate too.

What can you do to participate?

Downloading Folding@home and helping to run simulations is the primary way to contribute. These calculations are enormous and every little bit helps. Each simulation you run is like buying a lottery ticket. The more tickets we buy, the better our chances of hitting the jackpot, Greg Bowman explains. Usually, your computer will never be idle, but Folding@Home had such an enthusiastic response to their COVID-19 work that you will see some intermittent downtime as they sprint to set up more simulations.
