Italy and Slovenia join forces to strengthen their participation in EuroHPC

The Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and the Slovenian Ministry of Education, Science and Sport have signed a collaboration to strengthen collaboration in fields including, HPC (including EuroHPC), Big Data Artificial Intelligence and microprocessor development to support science and technology.
Giuseppe Valditara, who signed for Italy, said: "With this agreement, the two countries will share digital infrastructure, the development of research activities, exchange of skills and know-how, guaranteeing citizens, businesses and the scientific communities of the Adriatic-Ionian region new opportunities. Thus, Italy and Slovenia also strengthen their significant cooperation in the field of European and international projects, such as the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking, which sees them involved in an effort to provide the European Union with a super-fast pre-class computer and full exascale, able to compete at world level ". This indicates Slovenia is joining the Italy lead consortium that candidates to host a pre-exascale supercomputer.
