Focus on Europe

News site Lupa.cz runs an in-depth interview by Jan Sedlák with Vít Vondrák director of the Czech supercomputer centre IT4Innovations about EuroHPC and other supercomputer developments. In the in-depth interview Jan Sedlák discusses in great detail his ideas around the topic of European supercomputing and the Czech contribution and benefits. He thinks it is very important to go for real new exascale systems and not just upgrade the existing ones. It would also be good to have as much European technology as possible, we should not get an all-European processor (based on for instance RISC-V) at all costs.
