In IEEE Spectrum Jeremy Hsu writes about the remarkable results from a team of researchers from Singapore and Australia. They showed it is possible to access a quantum computer from an ordinary machine, and do calculations on the quantum computer that are hidden from the owner of the quantum computer. The Digital Luxembourg July 2017 progress reports confirms Luxembourg is still on track for a Petascale supercomputer to be installed in 2018. HPC is considered a key infrastructure for Luxembourg. The EuroHPC project is considered to be of strategic interest for the implementation of the Europe 2020 strategy. It will ultimately provide the computing capabilities needed to ensure the EU's competitiveness as a digital economy. Read further...
