Glenn Lockwood gives a nice summary on his blog of why HPC people feel uncomfortable with Hadoop: #1. Hadoop is an invader; #2. Hadoop looks funny; #3. Hadoop reinvents HPC technologies poorly;#4. Hadoop evolution is backwards. How can Hadoop fit into HPC? Lockwood tries to answer next: "I'll say up front that there are no easy answers--if there were, I wouldn't be delivering this monologue.
