According to Business Korea, the country has established an "Ultra-high-performance Computing Development Forum" that includes the the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). A representative of KAIST told to Business Korea: "As our nation is a latecomer, the odds will be in our favor if we start to approach the problem of power consumption first, for which we have a competitive advantage, and then focus on the development of a supercomputer capable of processing other applications, different from existing ones." The latest issue of Science Scotland highlights the diversity and quality of computational work going on in Scotland. According to Jason Reese different projects are not isolated from each other: the same computer facilities can be accessed from offices or living rooms in different cities, so projects can be run effectively even though the participants are geographically spread. The issue includes interviews with titles like "From dark demand to dinosaurs", "Can supercomputers get any more super?", "Who's afraid of supercomputing?". But actually they are good reading.
